Math Riddles SLJ

Today I have done this SLJ task where I had to solve these maths riddles and I may have gotten some correct because I have heard about it before. I also really enjoyed this activity because it got my brain working and soon my brain started hurting from these riddles.😂 and I kept on getting them wrong until I always realise I’m wrong because they’re not like and normal maths question they are riddles so soon after that I probably got most right.

  1. Hi Joanna,

It’s Emma here from the Summer Learning Journey. You have done a great job at solving all these riddles. Was there one that you found to be the most challenging?

It took me a long time to work out the parked car one! Do you have any riddles of your own?

    Thanks for sharing Joanna,

    1. Hi Emma,

Thank you for the nice comment and to answer your question the one that I found most challenging was the age problem of when the boy was half his brother’s age. And I do not have any riddles of my own.

      Thank you,
      Joanna

      1. Hi Joanna,

Thats the tricky part about riddles, they are worded to try and confuse us. In this case it makes you think that the brother would still be half his age.

Have you heard the riddle about the man and the horse?

A man rode out of town on Sunday, he stayed a whole night at a hotel and rode back to town the next day on Sunday. How is this possible?

See if you can figure this one out for fun!
