Maths

Today for maths we were learning about infinite numbers and how fractions & decimals have infinite numbers and ending numbers. So fractions like 1/3 is infinite in decimals because its 0.3333333 and so on while fractions like 1/5 the decimal of it is 0.5 and it doesn’t continue so that is what we learned today for maths.

1/5, 50%, 0.5 is finite (which means limited)

1/3, 0.333333 is infinite (which means never ending)

Probability Games

Today for maths we learned about probability with fun maths games, in the first image it’s a game where we have to roll a dice and we keep on adding up the numbers and if you land on 1 you have to restart.

On the second image we were playing this game where we had 11 blocks and we could put as many blocks on any number from 2 – 12 and we had a paper with the chart so we could do that and someone has to roll a dice and what ever number it lands on you have to take only one block of even if you put 3 or something like that and the aim of the game is that you try remove all the blocks first.

And on the last image we had another game which was water bottle flip and you can only flip the water bottle 10 times and we had a chart saying success or failure and each time you land it or lose than you put a tally mark on which ever one and that’s all the games we played today.

Matariki Festival

Team Tui have been working very hard for the Matariki Festival and so most of us made stall selling stuff and also some of us made activities for our stalls at the Matariki Festival there were food trucks, activities and many more fun things to do and so that’s what we did yesterday, for my stall up on the top (the image) I made 70 dollars! and I was very proud of myself.
